About Carrying Medicine

Carrying Medicine is a body of work built for healers, medicine people, and spiritual practitioners who are ready to embody their gifts and offer them with skill, power, and integrity. It lives as an upcoming podcast exploring what it means to carry medicine, in yourself and in your work with others, and as a series of medicine training retreats held with different medicine carriers so you can focus on different aspects of this sacred work.

At each retreat, I bring my core teachings in animistic spiritual development, somatic integration, healing skill training, and energetic mastery. Alongside me is a medicine carrier whose specific lineage, methodology, and spirit relationships bring something this training couldn't offer on its own. Jonathan is a licensed massage therapist, ceremonial practitioner, energy worker, cultivator, and student of traditional healing practices. His healing journey began over a decade ago through his own search for relief from chronic pain and illness, eventually leading him into plant medicine, bodywork, ceremony, and spiritual practice.

He has cultivated psilocybin mushrooms for over a decade and has been working with plant medicines and traditional ceremonial practices for over five years. His studies include curanderismo, temazcal, craniosacral therapy, Reiki, massage therapy, sound healing, somatic practices, breathwork, meditation, and energy work.

Jonathan brings these practices together through a grounded, holistic approach to ceremony and facilitation. His work centers on developing a conscious relationship with medicine, cultivating awareness of the physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic bodies, and learning to hold space with presence, intention, and integrity.

He is passionate about helping others develop their own relationship with the medicine, the natural world, and their intuitive abilities while honoring the traditional teachings, teachers, and lineages that have shaped his path.
